Phil Mechanic was Mitch Mechanic's dad. Phil used to run a construction company from 109 Roberts Street. After Phil passed on, Mitch & his wife, Jolene turned the entire building into an amazing center for contemporary art. With The Flood Gallery & The Pump Gallery showing work of artists from across the country and beyond, to the hive like quality of the upstairs art incubator spaces, to Blue Ridge Bio Diesel on the ground floor around back, this building stretches what is perceived to be possible... definitely worth a look see.
